OPTIMISM

For the first time since 2015, optimism about the economy has grown and reached 60% of Brazilians. This is what the new research Perspectives 2018 - Expectation of Brazilians with the Political and Social Scenario, conducted by the partnership National Association of Credit Institutions, Financing and Investment (Acrefi) reveals.

The survey was made after the results of the presidential elections, won by Jair Bolsonaro (PSL).

According to the survey, 66% of the respondents stated that they believe in the growth of the country and 52% in the reduction of the interest rate. The feeling of improvement of the families, besides the perception of the concession of credit for the population, was also captured. Thus, 51% of participants believe that it will improve the supply of credit and 54% believe that consumption will also follow the expectation.

Projections made point to an expansion of 9% to 12% in 2019 for the credit modality with free resources for individuals.

Although 53% of respondents are still aware or worried about their jobs, almost 70% of the population believes that the labor market will improve in the coming months.

The result of the survey demonstrates a clear optimism among Brazilians and an increase in confidence, which contributes to a resumption of growth in the country, with consistent investment and expectation of new jobs.
